Grief is a natural response to many kinds of loss, not only death. This course explores the wide spectrum of grief experiences across the lifespan, including anticipatory, ambiguous, disenfranchised, and cumulative grief. Participants will examine how grief arises from life transitions such as retirement, illness, identity changes, relationship shifts, and unmet expectations. Through discussion and reflection, students will gain a deeper understanding of how grief is experienced, expressed, and integrated, along with ways to respond to it with greater awareness and compassion. This session will meet on July 14.

This educational session helps individuals understand hearing loss and its impact on healthy aging while building confidence to advocate for their hearing health. Participants will learn about cochlear implants and other implantable solutions beyond traditional hearing aids, including benefits such as improved speech clarity, better communication in noise, and enhanced quality of life. Attendees will explore available resources and next steps in care. A medical team from a local ENT practice will be present for a live Q&A. The session will be on July 27.
